Why Power Partner? Why not volunteer? Simply put - you are more than a volunteer. When you donate your valuable time or talent to the City Center you are deciding to partner with us to tackle many of the challenges our youth face each day. If you are interested in joining our vision of keeping local teens off the street, consider partnering with us today!

Our application process is designed for both individuals and groups.

For Individuals (18+)

  1. Complete the individual application and answer all questions to the best of your ability. If you don’t have access to complete the application online, visit us at the City Center (848 E. Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA 95210) and we’ll help input your information. Please allow us 7 business days to review your application.

  2. Attend a mandatory Power Partner Orientation. The orientation will acquaint you with the mission and values of the City Center, as well as provide insight into how you use your unique skills to make our organization successful.

For Juniors (13-17)

  1. Complete the junior application and answer all questions to the best of your ability. If you don’t have access to complete the application online, visit us at the City Center (848 E. Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA 95210) and we’ll help input your information. Please allow us 7 business days to review your application.

  2. Schedule a mandatory Power Partner meeting with our Program team. This will acquaint you with the mission and values of the City Center, as well as provide insight into why your volunteer hours matter for our community. A minor release form will need to be signed by both the youth and their parent/legal guardian.

For Groups (+5 People)

  1. Complete the group application below and email it to our Program team at powerpartner@lordsgymcitycenter.org. Please allow us 7 business days to review your application.

  2. Interested in bringing the City Center mission to your office? Request more information about our POWER Lunch’n’Learns — we take a much shorter version of our Power Partner orientation on the road to your office.

For Community Service Hours (13+)

  1. Complete the community service application below and email it to our Program team at powerpartner@lordsgymcitycenter.org. Please allow us 7 business days to review your application.

  2. Attend a mandatory orientation. This will acquaint you with the mission and values of the City Center, as well as provide insight into how your community service hours will make an impact in our community. Due to the nature of our business, not all community service requests can be fulfilled.

Typical Power Partner projects may include:

  • Coaching a youth development basketball team

  • Tutoring a group of students in Math, Science, or English

  • Field Trip Chaperones

  • Database Entry

  • Welcome Desk Greeter

  • Facility Based Projects (cleaning rooms, organizing storage areas, house keeping)

  • Referee for Youth Sports (Basketball, Dodgeball, etc.)
